This short sleeve rib baby romper is without doubt our most adorable piece. It features a gorgeous front placket with dyed-to-match poppers, and short sleeves and short legs to help little ones manoeuvre easily.Designed with practicality in mind, the rear gusset and poppers provide plenty of space for a reusable cloth nappy. On the back, a sweet patch pocket with a windmill hem tag completes the look. The romper is made from organic mid-weight 270gsm jersey-rib cotton for a premium finish.
From a design perspective, there’s more to this diddy romper than you might guess. It’s made up of ten individual pattern pieces that come together to create a polished, practical garment. The front placket is cleverly worked into the chunky round-neck collar and finished with a neat topstitch, along with large poppers. The arm cuffs feature edge stitching for a clean finish, while the rise gusset is integrated into the inseam binding and fastened with dyed-to-match poppers for that extra nappy space. Our baby jumpsuit in ribbed cotton is your new go-to favourite garment. It’s made from a stretchy 270gsm jersey rib, which creates the perfect balance of unrestricted comfort. This kids jumpsuit is available in dusty pink, slate blue, and oat. The fabric is 95% organic cotton, which is a must have for little ones.
This was an absolute joy to design because we were able to use our own experiences of dressing little ones to create what we feel is the perfect jumpsuit. It’s not always easy to find a garment that will keep your child snug and warm, while allowing them to feel free and mobile. The secret was finding a stretchy organic fabric that we could mould around a little person – but don’t tell any of our competitors!The technical aspects of this jumpsuit were quite challenging, as it consists of nine pieces that need to be expertly cut and then simultaneously stitched. This includes the rise gusset around the rear, the 14mm inseam binding with dyed-to-match poppers, and the front placket, which weaves its way into the neck.We are pleased to offer this jumpsuit in GOTS certified organic cotton. This is the leading international certification from the Global Organic Textile Standard. It means our fabrics meet strict criteria on chemical inputs, fibre content, and working conditions. Check out our kids ribbed organic shorts in dusty pink, slate blue and oat. The simple design, with rolled up hems sewn into place, means that you can easily match these shorts with a variety of different tops. The shorts are made from 270gsm organic ribbed jersey cotton.
The design brief was to create a versatile pair of shorts that could be worn on the playground or with a parent when popping into town. From a technical perspective, we used a 40mm elastic waistband and sewed this in place for a nice fitted finish. The jersey rib fabric was chosen because it has enough give to ensure they’re comfortable when playing sports.When creating our collections, we will make a concerted effort to ensure they are not gender specific. This piece is the one that inspired Aneby when we realised we could create a garment we believe is better than anything else on the high street at a comparable price. In fact, the model is our daughter, Freya, at six months old.If, like us, you’re into the design details, it features an outside binding edge with a rise gusset attached to the back inseam.
