The elasticated waistband adds comfort and flexibility, while the rolled hems look stylish; and with a generous leg length mean they can be turned further and then let down to grow with your child. There are two patch pockets on the back, reinforced with triangle stitching, and two handy side pockets – ideal for collecting various treasures.

We opted for these trousers again and again during our photoshoots, they worked with just about everything. From a technical standpoint, they’re constructed from six pieces and neatly topstitched along the centre rise seams. The 40mm elastic waistband is sewn into place to prevent twisting, and the hems are finished with a 15mm coverstitch.
